RLA ENGINEERING has a wide range of experience with many structure types and materials for commercial building applications.
We have provided structural engineering design services for commercial centers ranging in size from 2,000-ft2 to 100,000-ft2. Our designs include the use of a variety of structural systems including concrete tilt-up, concrete masonry, Type I steel, Type V wood, light gage steel, or a combination thereof.
The choice of materials used is based upon a number of factors. First and foremost are the desires of our clients. Experience has shown us that some materials/structural systems are better suited to certain applications than others depending on building scale, geographical location, environment and building use. Whenever we can apply our knowledge to this end, to better serve our clients, we readily do so.
We try to encourage the use of the most optimal system in order to satisfy our clients' economic, serviceability and aesthetic needs.
