RLA ENGINEERING offers extensive experience with a variety of structures and materials for industrial and manufacturing facilities.
We have provided structural design services for facilities of 1,000-ft2 to 200,000-ft2. Designs are varied, but our structural systems have included concrete tilt-up, concrete masonry, Insulated Concrete Form (I.C.F.), Type I steel, Type V wood, light gage steel, or a combination thereof. The choice of materials used is based upon a number of factors. First and foremost are the facility needs and the desires of our clients. Experience has shown us that some materials/structural systems are better suited to certain applications than others depending on building scale, geographical location, environment and building use. Our goal is to incorporate our engineering experience with our clients' economic, serviceability and aesthetic needs.
In addition to structural design services, RLA ENGINEERING prepares the structural studies for the Risk Management & Prevention Programs (R.M.P.P.) for most of the major cooling facilities in Northern Santa Barbara County and Southern San Luis Obispo County.
